With justifiable pride we show you our new and, according to us, most modern Technical PriceLists existing in the HVAC sector. This month, the first and new Technical PriceLists have been produced for our companies The Netherlands and Belgium, the other countries will follow soon.
As the new Technical PriceLists are generated out of a central database they can be produced very fast. In the past the group worked with classic price lists, product codes, restricted product information and prices, such as other companies are doing. We thought we have to give more and better information and we radically changed and improved our approach.
Just a word of explanation:
A year and a half ago the Board of Air Trade Centre decided to invest in a system that allows all countries to instantly decide to publish a new Technical PriceList with a minimum of efforts and a maximum of quality. The fact is that providing technical information will strongly add to the customer relations.
The system, named Canvision exists of three layers. The first layer is a central database which classifies and arranges all available technical information and further shows that information through a clear lay-out as a datasheet. A smart product selection tool helps the visitor to our website to find the right products. Product information can be then downloaded. Meanwhile this database contains information in 9 languages and is available for all visitors to our website www.airtradecentre.com.
The second layer is the web shop. In fact the web shop is the same database as the one for the datasheets but with an interface the database communicates with the ERP system of Air Trade Centre and collects price- and stock information from there. This information is integrated in the lay-out of the sheets and is updated through the interface on a daily basis.
The third layer is the Technical PriceList. Every country may decide itself which product information has to be published in its own pricelist. On one condition; that the information comes from the central database. Every country ‘picks’ information from the database and builds its own pricelist. This happens by ‘simply’ putting ‘no publish’ on parts of the database, this happens by product, by product description and in every desired language. Once a country has composed its pricelist, the prices will be exported by the interface and added to the lay-out.
Finally Canvision has added a PDF generator to the system by which it is possible with one push on the button to print out the complete catalogue as certified PDFs and to send them to the printer. Three weeks later, the Technical PriceLists are ready to be sent. The result is an enormous gain of time and saving in costs, but more important is that our technical information and knowledge is now available for our customers!
